The Ordinary Skincare, Yay or Nay?

Hi All,

So today I thought I’d give you my thoughts on two products from The Ordinary skincare range that has become massively popular in the last few months.

For the last 4-5 weeks I have been trying the, Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution.

IMG_20170624_174003_322The Salicylic Acid 2% Solution is meant for Acne prone skin, it is recommended that you dab a drop on to a blemish twice a day or for severe break outs and congested skin, rub it in to the entire area. I used to have acne prone skin, although now being 26 my skin has cleared up, I do have an oily T-zone and I do still break out a couple times a month. I have been using this just to dab on breakouts twice a day as instructed and I have to say it definitely has helped bring down inflammation and redness much quicker then anything else I have been using lately so naturally I am delighted to find something so affordable that actually works.

Also I’ve been using the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, this is a mild acid exfoliator, it is meant to improve blemish prone skin and decongest your pores leaving you with more radiant skin and over time it’s meant to improve the appearance of texture. I have been using this for the same amount of time, 4-5 weeks and I have to say my skin is definitely less congested around my nose, which is where I find my pores get clogged the most. I do think my skin looks quite fresh and radiant at the moment but I can’t swear that is from this or just my overall skincare routine. I will have to use it for longer to see if it improves the overall texture of my skin.

I am 100% going to buy some more of this because it’s been working really well for me! I will test them out and integrate them into my skincare routine and I’ll update you all again, but try some of them out, I completely recommend these two products.

Does anyone have any requests on what I should review or suggestions on what you have found great?

Back soon,

Sinead x
